23.02.13 19.45, St Cecilia's Hall, Cowgate, Edinburgh; £17 (£15; £5)

Elizabeth Kenny and Jacob Heringman, lute/cittern/orpharion, Nicholas Mulroy, tenor and Matthew Brook, bass commemorate the 450th anniversary of John Dowland’s birth in a programme which explores the idea of ‘dialogue’ between composers, as well as between singers within the music. The programme will feature the first seven songs from Dowland’s Second Book of songs, including his famous Flow my tears, and his later songs Come when I call and Up, merry mates, which pay tribute to the sociability of two friends singing together.
