The Cultural COMES Association, a non-profit organisation which promotes early music, is to hold the second International Course on Medieval and Renaissance Music in Morella, Spain. The course, taking place in July, is now accepting applications.

Participants will be welcomed to the course with a medieval dinner on the opening weekend. Throughout the week-long course, there will be a number of concerts for visitors to attend, with some taking place in Morella’s gothic cathedral, built between 1265 and 1330.

For the remainder of the week, visitors will attend workshops and lectures. This year’s course covers vocal ensemble work, Gregorian Chant, historical dance and other topics. The week will close with a student concert on the last evening of the week.

The International Course on Medieval and Renaissance Music runs from 19 until 25 July 2013. To find out more information about the concerts, lectures, workshops involved, and to apply, visit www.culturalcomes.net.
