The European Union Baroque Orchestra is holding an audition course to choose 2013’s orchestra. EUBO is looking for applicants who play the following baroque instruments (A=415) to an advanced level: violin, viola, cello, double bass, oboe, bassoon and harpsichord.

The three-day audition course will be held in Echternach, Luxembourg in April under the direction of Lars Ulrik Mortensen. Two sets of dates have been set up by EUBO to allow for a larger number applicants to attend, as each session is limited to 45 places. Courses will take place on 2–5 April and 5–8 April and costs €250 or £205.

After both audition courses have taken place, a final short list of players will be made. Applicants, successful and unsuccessful, will be notified as soon as possible with the results. Entrants who have been successful and accepted as part of EUBO 2013 will have their travel and course costs refunded. Unsuccessful applicants will receive a certificate of attendance.

Entrants must be born after 1 January 1983 and be EU nationals. Applications should include a photograph, a CV or short biography and musical reference from a teacher.

The deadline for applications is 18 March 2013.
